The long road home..............

Oh My! this was indeed a loooooooooooog yet eventful weekend. Rihyana(lil diva) took a much needed break and headed down to Atlanta for the weekend. While we were down there, we had the chance to catch up with friends(good time). We made it down there late Friday evening and dropped of the "Princess Ashtyn" diaper cake that I made earlier in the week. On Saturday afternoon, I dropped rihyana off with one of my soror's for her daughter 8th birthday. So while she was at one party, I was at another celebration for one my college friend's daughter 1st birthday... I haven't spent that much time on the road since, I was in the field working. Can you say TIRED!!!! Below are the cookies I made for the both birthday events, diaper cake and a few photos....

Greek Organization Cookies......

A while back, I believed I mentioned that I was working on a line of, "greek inspired cookies". The following cookies are just some basic designs that I came up with using the cookie cutters from http://www.bakegreek.com/ . I purchased the cutters a few weeks ago and started to play around with them. Keep checking back for updates on new designs....

Just A Moment....

I have been moving a mile a minute, since the last posting. So thought before another week passes, I better sit down and post s few things. You know when ask, "GOD" for things. We must be thankful for the blessings and move forward. NEVER, NEVER complain about the things that you have been blessed with.  Have a blessed week.

This was my first attempt at Iron Man Cookies. I learned what to do and what not to do. At any rate I hear the birthday boy and his classmates loved them. I cann't wait to do these again in the future.

I had the pleasure of gifting these lovely  pink ribbon cookies for a breast cancer event, hosted at Our House, Inc in Decatur, GA.

I had so much fun doing the last set of "Rainbow Dresses", for the For Colored Girls Only Discussion hosted at Our House, Inc this past Thursday...

St. Patrick's Day 2011

I made these cute little Shamrock, Pot o' Gold Sugar Cookies with Key lime Icing. They smelled so go even after I placed them in the box.

This was my 1st attempt at making, "Cake Pops". I must say for my first time I did pretty well.  They were chocolate/mint flavored dipped in the vanilla flavored(green) chocolate melts. I manage to get finish both the above cookies and cake pops without getting burnt. Amazing since I am so accident prone..... I complete a few more cookies, but I will post those in the next posting.

A Few Bumps In the Road.

I probably should be making my way to the bed to SLEEP. I just finished baking at least 4 or 5 dozen cookies tonight... As i type this post and looking at my calendar of things to do for the month. I have a decent amount of orders and events to attend and coordinate. I'm hoping this month will be nice to ME. OMG!! February wore me out to the fullest. Although I enjoyed staying busy it was quite challenging to bake, decorate, and package the items. While at the same time keeping up with the regular route(mommy duty, work, personal errands and more WORK). I know eventually these bumps in the path will smooth out. Until I will take each day for what it is a BLESSING........
